The Chief of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Kabareskrim POLRI) Commissioner General (Comr. Gen.) Listyo Sigit Prabowo passed the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III’s fit-and-proper test. All nine factions of political parties in the Commission III approved Sigit’s nomination as the new police chief (Kapolri) by way of acclamation. Should we be optimistic with Sigit’s appointment? Can he deliver on his commitments and promises to reform the Police Corps?
