Major stock markets in Asia rose on Monday, amid optimism that the new US administration would pass a promised $1.9 trillion in fiscal aid. Shares in South Korea led the gains, hitting another high, as Seoul plans to set 250 COVID-19 vaccination centers across the country. The Shanghai Composite and the Hangseng also traded higher, after reports that China topped the US as the world’s largest recipient of FDI in 2020.
