The Baltic Dry Index fell 1% to 1,189 on Thursday, its lowest level since November 24th and extending losses for a fourth session. The capesize index, which tracks iron ore and coal cargos went down 0.4% to 1,480, the lowest since November 25th, amid prospects of lower iron ore exports from Brazil. The panamax index, which measures coal or grain cargos declined 2.5% to a two-week low of 1,345, extending a 2% drop. Among smaller vessels, the supramax index decreased 4 points to 1,015. In November, the Baltic Index tumbled 4.4%, the second monthly fall.
