Global stock markets gained on Monday (Nov. 23) as stronger-than-expected business activity data and promising developments toward a coronavirus vaccine raised hopes of a faster-than-expected global economic recovery. In the United States (US), Dow Jones and S&P 500 bounced back yesterday as investors hoped a coronavirus vaccine could be used soon. Oxford and AstraZeneca trials showed its vaccine is on average 70% effective in preventing the virus and is cheaper and easier to store and transport.
