The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI) has named nine members of the so-called Coalition to Save Indonesia (KAMI) as suspects related to the recent riots occurring in the rallies protesting the new Omnibus Law on Job Creation (Cipta Kerja). The said nine members of KAMI, including its three leaders, were accused of spreading hoax, hate speech, and inciting the riots. Some shocking facts were revealed by the Bareskrim regarding the conversations made among the suspects related to the rally. KAMI is the new opposition group led by the former Military (TNI) Commander General (ret) Gatot Nurmantyo and the former Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Din Syamsuddin.
