Various national media outlets reported on Thursday, Sep. 24, 2020 that PT Lion Mentari Airlines (Lion) is being sued by its partner Goshawk Aviation Ltd over a financial dispute. Goshawk reportedly demanded payment of over UK£10 million (US$12.8 million) for seven Boeing jet leasing agreements. Lion Air responded to the lawsuit, stating that they were in a difficult situation as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
