The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has come under intense scrutiny, especially after the attempt to assist Joko Tjandra that allegedly involved law enforcers of several institutions, including the AGO. The Government and the House of Representatives have agreed to submit a Bill to revise the Law No. 16/2004 regarding the Prosecutors’ Office into the list of 2020 Priority National Legislation Programs (Prolegnas Prioritas) in early July 2020. Since then the process has gone swimmingly. The parties have provided their inputs.
