Joko Tjandra, colloquially known as Joker, was finally arrested. With a discreet operation known only to three parties, the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) succeeded in requesting the cooperation of the Royal Malaysia Police (Polis Diraja). Joko Tjandra was arrested in Malaysia and handed over to Indonesia on July 30, 2020. Two days earlier, Malaysia convicted Najib Razak, the former prime minister who co-founded and chaired the 1MDB fund. It is not a secret that Najib is close to several conglomerates in Indonesia, including the Mulia Group.
