Global stock markets closed mixed on Wednesday (July 22) amid concerns about a spike in coronavirus infections and tensions between the United States (US) and China. US stocks were helped by news that the US Government had agreed to buy 100 million coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech.
