Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati sees Indonesian economic growth will be depressed in the second quarter (Q2) of 2020 to below zero percent caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. She noted the most profound impact of the virus in May, with recovery expected in Q3 and Q4 of this year. By the end of this year, Sri Mulyani estimated the economy would grow by -0.4% to 2.7% of gross domestic products (GDP). In 2019, Indonesia’s economy grew 5.0% over GDP.
