The trial of Imam Nahrawi, the former Minister of Youth and Sports, will be over soon. Imam, who is now a defendant in the case of bribery involving his subordinates and officials of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), listened to the prosecutors’ demands last week. The prosecutors insisted that Imam is guilty; that during his tenure as a Minister, Imam did not care about the corrupt behavior of his assistant Miftahul Ulum. The prosecutors also argued that Imam consciously accepted grafts.
