The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) uncovered corruption in North Lampung back in October 2019. The trial of the disgraced Regent one Agung Ilmu Mangkunegara (Nasdem) and three other defendants continues. On June 9, 2020, the prosecutors read their demands. Examination of the case revealed that the Regent took advantage of his position and collected nearly Rp100 billion in grafts. The KPK is reportedly considering investigating allegations of money laundering.
