The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) uncovered a case of corruption in Medan nearing the end of 2019. It caught the then Mayor of Medan Dzulmi Eldin. Eight months later, in a hearing held on June 11, 2020, the Corruption Court of the Medan District Court declared Dzulmi guilty as charged. A day before that, the trial of the disgraced Regent of South Solok one Muzni Zakaria began. The KPK named Muzni a suspect nearly a year ago.
