Global stock markets closed mixed on Friday last week (May 22) but gained on Monday boosted by optimism over an eventual COVID-19 vaccine and the easing of coronavirus-related restrictions. On Friday last week, United States (US) stocks closed mixed but booked a strong weekly gain (3.3%).
