PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk (BBRI) booked a net profit of Rp8.17 trillion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, down 0.3% year on year (y/y) as provision expenses rose 37.7% to Rp6.59 trillion from Rp4.79 trillion previously. Other operating expenses also increased by 26.7% to Rp12.8 trillion from Rp10.1 trillion.
