US crude prices jumped more than 5% to above $26 a barrel on Thursday amid renewed optimism that OPEC+ will reach a deal to cut output between 10-15 million barrels per day during a video conference meeting today. Russia said it is ready to cut production by 1.6 million barrels. Investors also expect the US to join other major oil producers and agree to some level of output reductions.
