Oil prices were up on Wednesday amid hopes that major oil producers will agree on output cuts to shore up prices during an emergency meeting of OPEC+ scheduled for Thursday. However, doubts remain whether the US will agree to make cuts in its crude production. On Friday, Saudi Arabia will host a video conference for energy ministers from the G20 aimed at stabilizing prices. The US crude traded around $24.4 a barrel and the Brent crude around $32.2 a barrel.
