Nearly four years ago, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) uncovered a scheme of corruption in the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla). Since then, the case had brought down seven convicts, but the investigation continues to this day. In mid-2019, the KPK named four new suspects, and soon after, detained one of them. Recently, the suspect filed a pre-trial lawsuit against the KPK. The trial is scheduled to be held on March 30, 2020.
