The number of Covid-19 infections in Italy increased to 10,149 as of March 10th, one day after Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced an extension of the current emergency measures, which include travel restrictions and a ban on public gatherings, to the entire country.

The Italian government has also decided to suspend mortgage payments for its quarantined citizens in hopes it would help to mitigate the negative impact of the outbreak.
