The central bank (Bank Indonesia/BI) opted to inject liquidity of US$3.2 billion to local banks through various policies, after President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced two people were infected by the coronavirus. The decision has been taken to help the economy and to reduce the sell-off on the financial market.
