Major stock markets in Asia Pacific surged on Thursday after a rally on Wall Street overnight, amid hopes that governments and central banks around the world as well as global organizations, like the IMF and the World Bank, could be more aggressive in delivering stimulus measures or responses to fight the virus outbreak and its effects on the economy. Stocks jumped in China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Australia.
