The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry (ESDM) targets investment in the oil and gas sector to reach US$117 billion by 2024. The Ministry set the target of achieving US$15 billion in investment this year, US$20 billion in 2021, US$25 billion in 2022, US$29 billion in 2023, and US$28 billion in 2024. The investment in oil and gas was growing in the past three years, reaching US$12.5 billion in 2019.
