Bank Muamalat, the pioneer of sharia banking in Indonesia, would be aggressively expanding its business after it was acquired by the consortium of Al Falah Investment Pte. Ltd., owned by the chairman Ilham Habibie. In the long term, Bank Muamalat aims to boost its retail financing to 65% from the current 35% of total financing.
