Oil prices advanced on Wednesday, after having surged nearly 4 percent earlier, as Iran said that it did not seek any war with the US, adding that Tehran had concluded its strike. Also, the US noted that it was not aware of any casualties from Iran’s missile attacks on US facilities in Iraq, while President Donald Trump responded mildly to the attack. At around 12:57 AM EST, the global benchmark, Brent crude, was up 1.1% to US$69.04 a barrel. The US crude oil rose 0.94% to US$63.29 a barrel.
