Global stock markets regained on Tuesday (Jan. 28) on speculation that efforts to contain the novel coronavirus will prevent a major economic fallout. In the United States (US), Wall Street closed deeply in the green yesterday. The European stock markets, meanwhile, rebounded from sharp losses in the previous trading session on Tuesday, led by banks and luxury goods. But stock markets in the Asia Pacific fell further on Tuesday as investors fretted about the potential economic damage of the Wuhan virus.
