As the Middle East held a tenuous calm, global equity markets are expected to gain this week. Economic data, however, may prevent such gains. United States (US) stocks fell from records on Friday last week (Jan. 10) after the latest jobs report delivered mixed signals on the strength of the economy, Bloomberg reported.
