Stock markets in Asia fell in Friday afternoon, erasing early gains, after Pentagon said US air strikes in Iraq early on the day killed a top Iranian commander, heightening geopolitical tensions. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index lost 104 points of 0.36 percent lower to 28,493, at around 01:16 PM. India’s BSE Sensex declined 133 points or 0.32 percent to 41,494, at around 11:09 AM India time. The Shanghai composite dropped 8 points or 0.27 percent to 3,076, at around 01:20 PM China time. Also, Taiwan’s TSEC index shed 22 points or 0.18 percent lower to 12,078, at around 01:16 PM China time.
