Stock markets in Asia soared on Tuesday, following a rebound in Wall Street overnight as Middle East tensions remained high, but showed no further escalation. Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 surged 371 points higher or 1.6 percent to close at 23,578. Also, South Korea’s KOSPI rose 20 points or 0.95 percent to finish at 2,175. In addition, India’s BSE Sensex gained 286 points higher of 0.7 percent to 40,963, at around 12:57 PM India time. Hong Kong’s Hang seng index jumped 149 points or 0.53 percent higher to 18,375, at around 03:12 PM Hong Kong time. The Shanghai composite rose 21 points or 0.69 percent to 3,105, at around 03:00 PM China time.
