Stock markets in Asia mostly fell on Monday, amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 tumbled 467 points or 2% percent lower to close at 23,190. Also, South Korea’s KOSPI fell 20 points or 0.92 percent to finish at 2,156. In addition, India’s BSE Sensex shed 650 points of 1.6 percent lower to 40,817, at around 11:50 AM India time. Hong Kong Hang Seng index was 200 points lower or 0.7 percent to 28,250, at around 02:00 PM Hong Kong time. Also, Taiwan’s TSEC weighed index dropped 157 points of 1.3 percent lower to 11,953, at around 01:33 PM China time. Meantime, the Shanghai composite added 9 points or 0.3 percent higher to 3,092, at around 02:03 PM China time.
