Stocks in Asia traded lower Wednesday (Dec 4) after US President Donald Trump said he may delay making a deal with China until after the presidential election towards the end of 2020. Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 index fell 1.04 percent to close at 23,135.96, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tumbled 1.05 percent to 26,115.14 at around 2:03 PM Hong Kong time, The Shanghai Composite Index retreated 0.3 percent to 2,874.90 at 2:05 PM China Taiwan time and Seoul’s Kospi declined 0.78 percent to 2,067.84 at 3:02 PM Japan standard time.
