The House of Representatives (DPR) has set 50 bills as their prioritized legislation for next year. One of the 50 bills included in the 2020 National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) is the amendment of the Election Law No. 7/2017. The amendment of the Election Law will determine, among others, whether or not the presidential election and the legislative election would be held simultaneously in 2024. The Law 10/2016 on Regional Election also governs the implementation of simultaneous regional elections in 2024 across the country.
