The growth momentum of Indonesia’s economy is maintained amid a slowing down of the global economy. The country’s economy grew 5.02% year on year (y/y) in the third quarter (Q3) of 2019, relatively equal to 5.05% in the previous quarter, supported by domestic demand and improved external performance amid declining global demand and commodities prices. That was, however, the weakest pace of expansion since the second quarter of 2017, as investment, household consumption, and government spending all rose at a slower pace.
