The past year has been a roller coaster ride for PT Sriwijaya Air. After struggling to get out of their debt trap by the end of 2018, the Company seemed to see the end of the tunnel after they agreed on operational cooperation or joint venture (KSO) with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA). However, the realization of the agreement is not easy. Since the beginning of 2019, the two companies have been involved in open dispute a number of times. Currently, there is even one lawsuit that is being examined by the Court. The parties have made peace, but last week, the feud re-emerged. Now both parties are in conflict, and unfortunately, this dispute has an impact on the airline’s services for passengers. The Government is forced to do something.
