Indonesia’s consumer confidence index declined to 121.8 in September 2019 from 123.1 in the previous month. This was the weakest reading since October last year, as the index of current economic conditions fell by 2.8 points (107.5 vs 110.3), while that of job availability compared to six months ago decreased 6.6 points (91.9 vs 98.5).

Meantime, the measure of job availability expectations rose 0.2 points (122.6 vs 122.4) and the measure of current income went up 0.5 points (118.9 vs 118.4). Also, the gauge measuring economic outlook edged up by 0.2 points (136.2 vs 136.0) and the gauge measuring income expectations for the next six months increased 1.9 points (148.9 vs 147.0), with the index of whether it was a good time to buy durable goods rose 3.8 points (117.7 vs 113.9).
