The Nikkei 225 rose 68 points or 0.3% to 21,410 and the S&P/ASX 200 gained 24 points or 0.4% to 6,517, while the Hang Seng Index slumped 339 points or 1.3% to 25,771 and the Kospi lost 11 points or 0.6% to 2,021.
