Global stock markets received encouraging news this morning after the United States (U.S.) Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that the U.S.-China trade talks would resume in early October. He clarified that the negotiations would take place in two weeks. But note that it was the unusual exchanges in which U.S. President Donald Trump questioned a decision by his top trade negotiators to ask Chinese officials to delay a planned trip to U.S. farming regions.
