National car sales dropped 11.54% to 90,403 units in August 2019 from 102,197 units in the same month of 2018. Cumulatively, the car sales during January–August 2019 rose 13.5% to 660,286 units from 763,444 units in the same period of last year. Astra Internasional (ASII) still dominated the market share (52%) with total sales of 344,216 units. Non-Astra like Mitsubishi, Honda, Suzuki, Nissan and other cars sales sold 316,070 until August. National car sales is expected to reach 1 million this year.
