Stock markets across the Asia-Pacific region closed mixed on Friday amid heightened concerns about global growth following the release of a whistleblower complaint against US President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, trade talks between the US and China are set to resume on October 10th in Washington. The Nikkei 225 slumped 169 points or 0.8%; the Hang Seng index fell 67 points or 0.3%; and the Kospi slid 25 points or 1.2%; while the Shanghai Composite gained 4 points or 0.1%; and the S&P/ASX 200 added 39 points or 0.6%.
