Over a year ago the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court read their verdict for Setya Novanto, who many believe to be the mastermind of the E-KTP graft case. He was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. Setya Novanto did not immediately file for an appeal. Only recently we learned that Novanto wants to try his luck. He filed for a Reconsideration (PK). The first hearing for which was held on August 28, 2019, and Setya Novanto through his legal counsel Maqdir Ismail submitted five new evidence (novum).
