Banks reported a 10.7% growth in profit for the first half (H1) of 2019, supported by lending growth and restructuring of bad loans (write off). Based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), banks booked a net profit of Rp78.51 trillion in H1 of this year, compared to Rp70.92 trillion in the corresponding period of last year.
