PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk (BBRI) booked profit after tax of Rp16.16 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2019, which is a 6.6% growth. That said the growth rate slowed from 11% growth in H1 of last year as securities business contributed weaker profit while the cost of funds went up. BRI last year acquired new entities (PT Danareksa Investment Management and PT Danareksa Sekuritas), which burdened it.
