Astra International (ASII) is in talks with local start-up engage in the logistics business. The company prepared investment from pre-seed series to Seed B series to expand its digital business. This year, Astra alloactes capital expenditure (caepx) of around Rp27 trillion, higher than last year’s capex of Rp40 trillion.
The conglomeration company has entered the digital business by investing in the ride-hailing provider GOJEK. The publicly listed has invested amounting to US$250 million at the unicorn. Astra’s market share is now maintained at 53% but the growing competition would affect its market share.
