Annual inflation rate in Indonesia increased to 2.83% in April 2019 from 2.48% in the previous month. It was the highest inflation rate since December last year, as prices rose at faster pace for foodstuff, transportation, communication & financial services, and health. Meanwhile, inflation slowed for housing & utilities, prepared food, beverages, cigarette & tobacco, clothing, and education, recreation & sport. Annual core inflation edged up to 3.05% in April from 3.03% in March. On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.44%.
