The banking industry anticipates the tight liquidity this year, as banks actively lift special rates for deposits. Data from Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) showed that banks under BUKU III category set their special rates for deposits at 7.46% and banks under BUKU IV set special rates at 7.19%. Banks under BUKU I and BUKU II set the special rates for deposits at 6.92% and 7.39% respectively.
