Today, March 20, the Islamic party PPP will hold its national work meeting (Mukernas). The agenda is to reaffirm the appointment of Suharso Monoarfa as the Party’s acting chairman. Suharso Monoarfa is to replace Muhammad “Romy” Romahurmuziy, who has been named a graft suspect. That said, some members of the Party are pushing for an election for a new definitive chairman instead of accepting Suharso Monoarfa.
