In line with the growth of the industry, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Tbk (BBNI) reported an improvement of financial results for 2018. Banking industry grew in 2018 inline with the improving macroeconomic indicators. The banking sector reported a 12.2% growth year on year (y/y) in net profit, to Rp136 trillion as of November 2018 with loan growing 12.1% to Rp5,160 trillion.
