National motorcycles sales grew 8.8% to 4,722,242 units per September 2018, supported by people purchasing power, higher commodity prices, and a success of harvest time. Honda sales rose 9.3%, Yamaha grew 7.9%, Suzuki increased 3.2%, Kawasaki was up 4.2%, while TVS sales dropped 71.6%. Honda holds 71.6% market shares, followed by Yamaha 22.5%, Suzuki 1.3%, Kawasaki 1.3%, and TVS 0.5%. Export of motorcycles jumped 41.8% to 438,530 units. Export of Honda surged 41.8%, Yamaha +33.7%, Suzuki +82%, Kawasaki +325%, and TVS +28.4%.
