Investors at Jakarta bourse returned to buy local stocks today following Fed rate hike policy on Wednesday. Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 0.9% to 5926 at 2 pm Jakarta time, while the rupiah strengthened to Rp14,919 against the US dollar. Otherwise Asian markets turned into red. Nymex’s crude oil rose 1.2% to US$72.44 per barrel in Asian trading.
