Tourist arrivals in Indonesia increased by 15.21% from a year earlier to 1.32 million in June 2018. Bali was the main destination (540 thousand), followed by Jakarta (183 thousand) and Batam (167 thousand). Considering the first half of the year, tourist arrivals grew 13.08% to 7.53 million compared to the same period a year earlier. The government aims to attract 20 million visitors a year by 2019.
