Bank Mayapada (MAYA) booked net profit of Rp384.58 billion in first half (H1) this year, dropped 22% from Rp493.9 billion in the same period last year. Net interest income rose 15.8% to Rp1.39 trillion from previous Rp1.2 trillion. Other expenses however jumped 62.7% to Rp1.03 trillion from earlier Rp633 billion, due to higher salary payment and provision for loss from depreciation of financial assets value. Then operating profit fell 34.3% to Rp388.4 billion from previous Rp591.6 billion. Loans grew 11.3% to Rp59.4 billion from Rp55.3 billion in H1 last year. Third party funds reached Rp53.2 trillion, higher than Rp52.87 billion a previous year.
